The Santorini
Artist Residency.
Fourteen days on a volcanic island shaped by 3,600 years of artistic history. Ancient pigments, loulaki blue, volcanic earth, extraordinary light, local pottery masters, and a caldera that has inspired artists since the Bronze Age.

The Studio
A working space
built for serious
creative work.
The studio is a shared working space available to all residency artists throughout the 14 days. It is designed to support both structured workshops and free practice — with natural light, outdoor terrace access, and a dedicated volcanic pigment bench.

Villa Fabrica
A restored factory complex turned communal villa — high ceilings, original stonework, and a shared kitchen and dining hall built for a group that’s making work together, not just sleeping under the same roof. Our top pick for the core cohort.

White Villa
A 15th-century winery with the same communal spirit as Villa Fabrica, in a quieter corner of the village. Our backup recommendation if the main villa is unavailable for a given cohort.

Arvanitis Cave Village
Traditional cave-house accommodation carved into the cliffside — barrel-vaulted ceilings, thick volcanic walls, and the kind of light only this kind of building lets in. For artists who want a more private, individual room setup.

A luxury resort partner for larger cohorts — when a group outgrows a single communal villa, accommodation and workshop space split across the resort while keeping the same daily programme. Earmarked for future growth rather than the launch cohort.

Tell us about your work
We ask about your practice, what you’re currently making, and what you’d use the time for. No CV required. No exhibition history necessary.

Anonymous review
All applications are reviewed without names. The selection panel sees your work description, your intentions, and up to five images — nothing else.

We reach out
If selected, we’ll email you within 4 weeks. We’ll discuss logistics, dates, and any particular needs you have. We never share your identity publicly without your consent.

You arrive and make work
That’s it. No deliverables, no critique, no documentation requirements. We ask only that you share a few honest words about the experience at the end — anonymously, if you prefer.

The residency programme exists for one reason: to give artists the conditions that most artists never have. Time without an audience. Space without obligation. Permission to fail in private. We believe some of the most important work is made in these conditions — and almost none of it gets made without them.
