Why Anonymous
Why we remove the name: the freedom to say what matters.
Without a name attached, artists are free to express themselves without fear of judgement, and to speak about subjects they might otherwise keep to themselves, from personal experiences to the social, political and economic events around us. Art has always carried these messages, and we share each work as the artist intended, without editing or censoring what they want to say.
So we take it away. Work is submitted without a name, curated without one, and hung without one. Collectors buy what moves them rather than what they recognise. Artists at the very start of a practice hang beside artists thirty years in, on the same wall, under the same conditions.
Six months after a work is shown, the artist decides what happens next, step forward, or stay behind the work.
The most honest moment in art is before the name is attached.

Submit original work at any time. Accepted pieces join the permanent anonymous collection and are listed for sale. No deadlines, no seasons, no submission fee.

Exhibitions
Four curated exhibitions a year, each holding exactly twenty works. Curation is blind. A £10 entry fee applies only if your work is selected — nothing if it isn’t.

No names on the wall.
The current online exhibition runs as a single walk-through gallery — works hung with wire and matte board, each with its story, dimensions and price. Three artists have chosen to reveal themselves so far.
Art residences
Space to make.
work freely.
The residency is the project off the screen. Fourteen days on a volcanic island shaped by 3,600 years of making — ancient pigments, loulaki blue, local pottery masters, and a caldera that has pulled artists in since the Bronze Age. Every residency closes with an exhibition where the work is hung unsigned.
What we hold to

The work enters the room before the artist does. Every submission, every curation, every listing is built to make that happen.
We don’t use it as a marketing device. It’s a structural principle that changes how work is received, valued and remembered.
We never push, pressure or reveal without consent. Identity, once given, can’t be taken back — so that decision stays with the artist, always.
Open to all levels, all mediums, all countries. The only filter is the quality of the work, judged by people who don’t know who made it.
